The Draw the Joker was held in The Punters on Sunday night. The Jackpot was not won.   Ann Downey won €100.00, Isobel Keenan & John Quirke won €50 each,  Bridget Savage €30 and  Mary McCarthy €20.The jackpot is now €5,800 and the next draw is on Sunday night in Cahir House Hotel. There were jubilant scenes in Fethard on Thursday evening last, when Cahir were crowned U17B South Football Champions beating Carrick Swans in a thrilling final.

Carrick Swans got off to a flying start and were 1-01 up after 5 minutes. Cahir then settled into the game and started taking their scores. It was all square with 4 minutes to go to half time when Cahir were awarded a penalty and the ball hit the back of the net giving them a 3pt advantage going in at half time. Cahir came out the stronger team in the second half and remained focussed on the task ahead. It was score for score in the 3rd Quarter. Cahir were growing in confidence as the game progressed and this showed in the last Quarter scoring a hat trick of goals.                          FT Score Cahir 4-08 Carrick Swans 1-08

There was no rest for the Team. They were out in the County Quarter Final against Moyne/Templetuohy played on Saturday in Ballylooby.

Two games within 48 hrs took its toll on the players. Moyne opening the scoring in 2nd min, Cahir responded with a point and lead into the last Quarter. Moyne stepped up a gear scored 3 unanswered points to book their place in the SF.

Well done Travis McLoughlin & the South Tipperary U13 hurlers, they played two great games versus West and North Tipperary in Dr Morris Park on Saturday last. They drew against West Tipp and beat North Tipp.

Well done Thomas O’Donovan and the South Tipperary U14 hurlers, they had a great win over Mid Tipp. They now play North Tipp in Roger Ryan Cup final next Saturday in Toomevara.
