JUVENILE NEWS

Winter Development Programme

The Winter Development Programme commenced on Thursday 3rd November in the hall at Colaiste Dun Iascaigh. The programme is being led by Diarmuid Leahy who is the lead Strength and Conditioning Coach with Tipperary Senior Camogie. The programme is being rolled out for boys born in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. There was a good attendance on Thursday night – the boys did core work and the engagement level was great to see. Special thanks to Colaiste Dun Iascaigh for the use of the hall. In particular we would like to thank caretaker Martin O’Donavan and Gavin Berry for getting the hall ready.

The U17s played a Football Challenge match on Sunday 6th November against Moyle Rovers in Monroe. It was a good performance by the boys and preparation for the Football Championship semi-final which takes place on 13th November. They await the results of the Qtr final matches to know their opponents in the SF.

The U14 South Hurling trials are continuing. The panel has been cut to 43 but there are still two Cahir boys remaining. The boys had a training session on Thursday 3rd November
